Frizzy flyaway hair is a part of most women’s lives. We try every shampoo, conditioner, serum and masque that claims to be able to get these to stay put and behave themselves, they still manage to ruin our entire hairdo by standing irritatingly on end. However, taming these flyaways is not as hard as we imagine. Here are a few foolproof ways to get rid of flyaway hair.
1. Let hair air dry
To leading cause of baby hair or flyaways popping up is blow-drying. These hair dry the fastest which means that as you blow-dry the rest of your hair, these get drier and drier and end up so dried out that they simply cannot fall into place with the rest. To avoid flyaways, you should stay away from blow-dryers as much as you can.
2. Blow-dry along the curve of forehead
To get your fringe to stay perfect without popped up flyaways ruining your look, you should always dry your hair along the curve of your forehead and never pull them away from your head. If you need to create bounce around the crown, try using a large roller when your hair is half dried instead of using a hairdryer all the way.
3. Use a folded tissue to apply hairspray post blow-dry
Another great way to tame flyaways is to spritz a little hairspray on a folded tissue and then wiping it over the hair to coat it from root to tip.
4. Use a silicone based conditioner and serum
An excellent way to ensure that flyaways don’t appear on your head is to use a silicone based conditioner and serum. Usually these would be the ones that fall under hair straightening ranges and effectively help reduce frizz and flyaways.
