1. Cleansing – Dermatologist Christopher B. Harmon, M.D., clinical instructor, department of dermatology, University of Alabama, Birmingham suggests men to use cleansers as per their skin type. The cleansers suggested are mild, hypoallergenic cleansers for sensitive skin; alcohol based cleansers for oily skin and moisturizer based cleanser for men with dry skin.
2. Moisturizer – The idea behind moisturizer is to hydrate the skin, which is to be coupled with a sunscreen. To quote Harmon:
Men should look for moisturizers containing a broad-spectrum sunscreen with a sun protection factor (SPF) of 15 or higher, as well as antioxidants in order to maximize the application’s benefits while avoiding the use of multiple products.
3. Retinoid – This is a necessity for those with damaged skin and to cure wrinkled skin.
In a nutshell men should carry out a daily skin care regimen to avoid acne.
