In the constant run of life, we might be committing some basic sins when we take care of ourselves. If you are also one of them, it is time to lose them.
Sleeping in Your Makeup
If you forget to wash your face, your skin has the opportunity to pickle in a day’s worth of debris and oil overnight. The skin is unable to breathe, regenerate tissue, exfoliate dead surface cells and heal itself.
Sleeping on the same side of our face
We can’t always control where our head is on the pillow while we sleep, but repeatedly sleeping in the same spot can cause fine lines to become permanently imprinted. This is because skin is wrinkled up against the pillow over and over again.
Washing our face with too hot water
A temperature that’s almost sizzling causes broken capillaries on the face. The capillary walls are very thin and elastic, so they are reactive to temperature, high or low . To keep skin balanced and beautiful, always cleanse with lukewarm or tepid water.
Rubbing your eyes
The area around our eyes is the thinnest, most sensitive area of the face and thus it needs to be handled carefully. The more you rub it, the more it will stretch. Since there are no oil glands present there, the skin there cannot give out moisture. Repeated rubbing on the lids, even when putting in contact lenses, can cause skin to loosen and fine lines to shape.
Washing face after hair
If you have sensitive skin, this is a strict no. Pores get blocked, leading to breakouts, particularly along the hairline. Make sure you methodically cleanse away any deposit from your face after rinsing your hair.
Using too much moisturizer
Do not be extra-vigilant about keeping skin supple, because too much of a good thing can have a reverse effect. Excess cream does not absorb deeply enough into cellular tissue, so skin is not able to breathe and pores will clog. Sometimes this can even result in dryness.
Drinking through a straw
Continuous puckering can bring on premature wrinkles. Frequent facial expressions, such as pursing your lips can cause fine lines around your mouth to form over a time period. Therefore quit the straw and drink directly from the glass, bottle or can.
Tying a tight ponytail
The tighter the ponytail, the more likely the hair will be falling out. Pulling every hair into a tight pony can cause traction alopecia, a form of hair loss that leads to a receding hairline. The good news is the recession isn’t expected to be permanent.
