I am a black woman and I am planning on getting highlights on my dark hair. What are your thoughts on purple highlights for dark hair? Do you like the idea? My mother thinks purple is not a color to get highlights. She thinks my hair would get spoilt. I know a lot of my friends have told me to not get blue, because blue spoils the hair. What color should I have, in case I do not get purple? Red is too common, suggest something apart from that.
