What is seen in his 36 years of research is an elastin-based cream formulated by the Sigan Industries in Toronto. This elastin cream claims to replace elastin in the scarred area of skin by restoring the stretchiness of the skin with soluble protein molecules, responsible to hold skin in shape.
It was researched much earlier than Burt’s inferences that elastin resumes the shape of stretched or contracted skin but development of new cells in the wounded area in a skin formulation is yet to be seen.
