The oil glands or the sebaceous glands in our head produce natural oil which makes our hair oily. The amount of oil production and it’s frequency of production depends on the hormone level of the person. We can regulate the oil production by adapting few small habits in our routine. 1. Healthy routine and balanced lifestyle
It is required to follow a healthy routine and balanced lifestyle. One must take complete sleep and rest, eat a healthy diet full of green veggies and fruits. It is required for a healthy glowing skin and lustrous hair. A little workout , exercise or yoga also make a count for balanced lifestyle. If you remain fit then it reflects on your skin and hair. Take vitamin supplements in your diet. Vitamin C, E , B7 and B12 are considered to be very good for hair.
2. Plenty of water
Drink plenty of water which is very important to maintain the nourished and moisturized hair. It also helps in flushing out the toxic substance produced in our body. So, remain hydrated always.
3. Clean comb
Use a clean comb always and clean it regularly. Do not share your hair brush with others. Bacterias grow very fast on it.
4. Good oil massage
Provide a good oil massage to improve the blood circulation in your head. It helps in opening up the closed pores. It also regulates synthesis of natural oil secretion. Go for massages from various oils which are considered good for oily hair like olive oil head, jojoba oil, almond oil or coconut oil. Donât leave oil on your hair for a long. It will help in sticking of the dust and dirt which play a major role in damaging hair. It is suggested to apply oil at night and wash them in morning before you step out. Use lukewarm oil for head massage.
5. Steam
Steaming is also considered to be good for hair nourishment. It is suggested that after a hot oil head massage give steam to your head. If you want to do it at home then you can make use of a wet hot towel.
6. Keep your hair clean
Always keep your hair clean. Humidity can make them more oily and sticky. Wash your hair regularly using lukewarm water. Lukewarm water helps in cleaning the hair and excess oil effectively. Use a mild shampoo for regular use. It helps in proper cleaning of the oil from hair.
7. Regular shampooing
Regular Shampooing is also very important to clean the hair. So, opt for a mild shampoo for nourishing your hair. Apply it thrice a week. Always give oil massage to your head before shampooing. Don’t apply too much of oil. As there must be some natural oil in the hair. Go for a good brand mild shampoo.
8. Conditioning
Conditioning plays a major role in keeping hair soft and moisturized. Apply moisturizing conditioner in generous amount and massage it for few minutes on scalp as well as along the length. Donât keep changing the direction of massage. Just follow one direction. Let it on hairs for sometime then wash it off with water. Use of leave in conditioner is also a good option to moisturize hair.
9. Natural remedy
Apply curd, egg, hibiscus leaves paste on your hair. It not only nourishes your hair but also gives shine to them.
10. Hair spa
Go for hair spa treatment once in a month.
