Everyone wants to dress well. It is a general human tendency to look smart and attractive. When the question of dressing comes, first of all hairs are to be set. Hairs are the first point of attraction and also define an individual’s personality. Though hairs are very important, but still we least care for them. All have different preferences for hairs. Some may like long and straight hairs, while others may go for curls. Some are after colored hairs as they think it fashionable, while others hate to do so. However irrespective of your needs and the way you dress, there are some common tips that you should take care of. Here are the few tips:

  1. Avoid daily washing- Many people are of the viewpoint that if you have oily skin, then you should go for regular washing of hairs. It may look quite reasonable. But actually daily washing leads to more secretion of oil from the roots. On the one side your hairs would be dry while on the root side, they would have more oil. This imbalance may lead to hair fall. If you don’t feel dirty, don’t wash it.
  2. Prefer shampoo that lathers less- Most of us go for a shampoo that lathers most. If one cannot get enough lather for the first time, he tries to put more shampoo. It is a very common practice while washing hairs. But, it is wrong. Excess shampoo is one of the reasons for dry and gray hairs. If you can’t find enough lather for the first time, try to add water rather than shampoo.
  3. Squeeze out excess water asap- As soon as you come out of washing your hair, squeeze out the excess water with the help of towel. Some people keep their hair tied with towel for some time. This is not good for the hairs. Keeping your wet strands wrapped would unnecessary cause frizz. It is actually because of the roughness of the cotton of your towel.
  4. Never put shampoo on dry hair- Some people directly put the shampoo on their scalp. This leads to exposure of delicate skin over head to the harmful chemicals of the shampoo. Never go for this. Mix shampoo in some water and put this solution to your hairs. Rub the scalp gently with hands. Excessive rubbing may lead to more secretion of oil from oil glands. This may also lead hair to catch on the other hairs and may further lead to damage.
  5. Don’t go for excessive conditioning in saloons- It is almost OK if you skip conditioning one or two times while going for saloons. Many people go for excessive conditioning of hairs. This is not good for the health of hairs. Try to make them grow naturally.
  6. Expensive shampoos are not always better too- You need not run after expensive shampoos. These are not always good. You will be surprised to know that you are actually paying more just to buy some harmful chemicals. You may go for herbal shampoos. They are cheaper and also have fewer chemicals.
  7. Don’t color your hair excessively- Many people love to color their hair. It may look very fashionable to them. They try to use every new hair color product. The worst thing is that in most of the cases, they don’t even bother to know what their head wants. The reality is that excessive hair coloring can make your hair dry and they may lose their color permanently.
  8. Apply hair products at least 10 minutes before you style- If you apply some hair products before makeup, and then give them at least 10 minutes to settle down. It will help you in making different hair styles. You would feel it much easier to style your hairs.
  9. Try to avoid stress- Stress is one of the chief reasons for hair fall. New mums often find their hairs thin after the birth of child. This is very common and don’t stress out yourself with it. Stress would unnecessary increase the hair fall. If you are suffering from excessive hair fall, then you can go for some therapies. These will surely be of great help to you.
  10. Have a balanced diet- Hair growth is highly dependent on what a person eats. So, your diet is equally important for the health of your hairs. Fill your diet with lots of vegetables and foods containing Vitamin A, B complex, C, Iodine, Copper and Iron. These all minerals are very important for the growth of hairs. Balanced diet will help you make your hairs strong naturally.

There are many other tips that will help you in making you hairs strong and shining. But, one should go for those that are natural and have minimum side effects.
