From the runway: Full brows

Intense brows on the S/S 2012 Runway created a dramatic impact. The models brought back the fully grown brows trend. A break from the conventional thin plucked eyebrows, the bushy brows lent a mystic feminine charm. Here’s an insight into the latest beauty trend. Read on to know how to sport intense brows.

Full brows

Intense brows

The Intense brow look was worn by models on the S/S 2012 Runway. The runway look of the models sparked off the full brows trend. The brows are highlighted with the subdued makeup. Donna Karan and Marc Jacobs were among the designers who lent their models the intense brows look.

What’s in it for you?

The most amusing thing about the trend is that you are now saved from a fortnightly visit to the beauty salon and spending your precious time and hard earned bucks on the brows. If the right tips are followed and the accurate methods of makeup are implemented, then this new look with flat brows is sure to set the stage on fire. When people always welcome something new, then your new, elegantly wild look will definitely mesmerize your beholders. But, always be prepared to receive mixed reactions from the people around you as you sport the flat brow look.

Now, this is definitely debatable whether this trend of flat brows remains forever or the plucked one will regain its lost position again? Basically, those who are extremely fashion conscious and trendy will perhaps take the risk to keep their eyebrows natural. Majority of the others will try to avoid it thinking that they might look ugly in this new look. Most of the women will also have an opinion that flat eyebrows make a woman look shabby and untidy. On the other hand, shapely eyebrows always make them look neat and clean.

On the Runway

The powerful maiden

This style was created by the makeup artist, Tom Pecheux at a collection launch of Derek Lam. The uncared look of the brows was highlighted in this powerful maiden look. The makeup artist made generous use of light colors for the purpose. He coated the layer immediately beneath the brows with pale, light brown highlighters. The skin over the eyeballs was painted with shimmery, black eye shadow. The eyebrows were not defined with any color. Rather, they were kept natural and careless by combing them gently. Thus, they eyes looked intense and the eyebrows prominent. Further, the touch of bronzer on the cheeks and sheer lip-gloss completed the look.

The heavy brows

More than clothing and other makeup, brows reigned Altuzara. The looks that dominated the show stressed more on the predominance of thick brows on a barely painted face. Angled brush was used in order to apply a wet, black colored powder over the brows, which were combed prior to this. This was done to give a rough definition to the brows. Concealor was applied to hide the blemishes and the flaws of the face, otherwise which the face did not bear any other makeup. The lips were kept nude with a hint of glossy lipstick.

Theatrical brows

The theatrical brows were a creation of the makeup artist, Francois Nars. The eyebrows were defined clearly with a touch of black color. The emphasis of the artist was on creating a frame around the eyebrows, so that they were prominent and visible. So, the rest of the face was kept natural, without any hint of makeup.
